PC Jeweller is the top loser on the BSE, going down 10% to Rs.173.25 and seems streaked in a deep hue of red, indicating the mood of the day.

The company reported a very poor set of earnings for Q4FY18. On a 12% (YoY) drop in revenue at Rs.2103 crore, the PBT fell 24% to Rs.123 crore and PAT fell 15.4% at Rs.118 crore.

Its half yearly interest outgo rose 21% at Rs.165 crore, indicating an increase in the borrowings. The worrying aspect is that the near term trend for sales as well as profits remains negative.
