Pharma stocks in focus

The market is looking for opportunities in this pandemic and pharma companies is where all seem to be headed, irrespective of the valuations. The top five gainers are all pharma stocks – Suven, Novartis, AstraZeneca, Morepen Labs, Shilpa Med, Panacea Bio, Wockhardt, Vivimed Labs, Marksans, Alembic, Cipla, Sun Pharma, Glenmark, Apollo Hospitals, Neuland; Out of the total of 72 stocks in the pharma index, 62 are in the green.

The  eight stocks in the red – Lupin, Sanofi, Biocon, Hester Bio, Divis Labs, Metropolis, Max Health and Shalby.

The market is betting on these stocks, conveying the message to us that the pandemic is going to be around for some more time now and under the circumstances, these are the best bets.
