PNB Housing among losers

PNB Housing Finance is among the top three losers on the BSE since morning. The stock lost over 12% to hit an intraday low at Rs.476.80; its 15% LC for today is at Rs.461.

Looks like the lower interest rates and enough liquidity did not help PNB Housing much. The company posted a 22% (YoY) drop in net profit at Rs.237 crore on a 1.4% rise in NII at Rs.566  crore. NIM came in at 2.98%, the lowest in five quarters.

Gross margin as on December 31, 2019 was 1.75% as against 0.47% a year ago. Assets under management (AUM) increased to Rs.86,297 crore, registering a growth of 8%.

Gross margin, net of acquisition cost, for December quarter stood at 3.04% compared with 3.39% (YoY).
