Siemens gains on new order wins

Shares of Siemens Limited are up by Rs 22 or over 2% at Rs. 1,131 on back on new order wins worth Rs. 450 crore.

 

The company’s mobility division has secured 3 new orders from Varanasi-based Diesel Locomotive Works of Indian Railways for energy-efficient propulsion and control equipment. All the components will be supplied from Siemens factories at Kalwa and Nashik. This new order will add to the company’s existing order book which stood at Rs. 12,102 crore, as of 30th September 2014.

 

Following September year end for financial reporting purposes, Siemens reported Q1FY15 sales of Rs. 2,186 crore and adjusted net profit of about Rs. 70 crore (excluding one-time exceptional gain), resulting in normalized EPS of close to Rs. 2. For fiscal year ended 30th September 2014, company had earned revenue and net profit of Rs. 10,663 crore and Rs. 603 crore, respectively, leading to EPS of Rs. 16.94.
