Siemens hits new high

Siemens, which had closed yesterday at Rs.2059.50, opened lower at Rs.1991 but soon rose to hit a new 52-week high at Rs.2199.60. It is currently the top gainer on the BSE.
The company, which follows the Oct-Sept financial year, for the quarter ended 30th June’21, posted a net profit of Rs.162 crore v/s Rs.10 crore (YoY). This was thanks to the 131% jump in revenue from continuing operations at Rs.2658 crore.
The company said that new orders from continuing operations stood at Rs 4,341 crore, against Rs. 1,767 crore a year ago.
