Siemens up over 2%

Siemens is up today at Rs.441.65, up over 2%. The stock had hit a new 52-week low yesterday at Rs.419.20.

The stock is up after the company announced that it has won two contracts aggregating Rs. 144 crores from the Rural Electrification Board, Bangladesh to construct 38 new 33/11kV substations. The projects are funded by Japan Bank for International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and are to be delivered on a turnkey basis. The substations would be located in the Rajshahi and Barisal zones in western Bangladesh.

Last week, the company had received an order from Gurgaon Metro South Extension project worth Rs.184 crore.
