Skipper hits life-time high

Kolkatta based Skipper, is a transmission and distribution structure manufacturing company. The stock is in the news today. The company announced that it has secured a new order to the tune of Rs.737 crore.

This is for Design, Supply and Construction of new 765 kV transmission line project for Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL).

The steady stream of orders, from PGCIL, has notably strengthened its order book in India's Transmission and Distribution (T&D) domain. Its year-to-date order intake stands at Rs. 3,900 crore.

The stock price has reacted positively to this news; from its close of Rs.353.40, the stock today opened higher at Rs.385.50 and went on to hit a new life-time high at Rs.400. It is currently trading at Rs.370 levels.
