Small and Mid cap stocks spike up

For want of value stocks, stocks which have not yet run ahead of their valuations, the attention is now diverted to small and mid cap stocks. Thus today, though the broader market is down, these small and mid cap stocks are booming, with both the indices hitting new highs. Though be warned, not all stocks are sound and some are just moving up on momentum, operators making merry.

Videocon Inds, Dredging Corp, MTNL, MMTC, India Cements, Advanta, Sterlite Technologies, Nalco, Bajaj Hindustan, Punj Lloyd, Unitech, HDIL, BEML, Reliance Capital are some of the stocks which are doing exceedingly well today.
