There was good news from SPML Infra today morning. The company has informed that it has received new orders worth Rs.250 crore for Power Transmission & Distribution projects in West Bengal and Haryana.

The break-up of the orders:

The Rs.107 crore order is from West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited for Rural Electricity Infrastructure Development in Murshidabad.

Rs.89 crore is from Power Grid Corporation for Extension of 400/220 kV AIS Substation in Malda and other towns of West Bengal.

Rs 49 crore is from HVPNL for 220 kV GIS Substation in Faridabad.

Rs.107 crore order in Murshidabad involves 11 kV for Rural Electricity transmission lines and substation and replacement of LT meters to be completed in 24 months' time.

Rs 89 crore order for extension of 7 numbers of Substations - 400/220 kV AIS Sub-station in Malda; Durgapur; Jeypore; Rourkela; Angul; Maithon under the Eastern Region Strengthening Scheme and all will be completed in 20 months' time.

Last but not the least, Rs.49 crore order for 220 kV GIS Substation in Sector 46 in Faridabad, Haryana.

Intra day, the stock price surged 9% to Rs.64.90 and it is now quoted at Rs.63 levels, up over 6%.
