Sun TV is the top gainer on the BSE, with volumes surging almost 6.5 times. The stock opened Rs.9 higher, went on to an intra day high at Rs.423.90 and currently remains 11% higher.

The stock is in the limelight, almost like heaving a sigh of relief on news that Maran, owner of Sun TV is finally getting out of SpiceJet. With concerns mounting that Sun’s cash flow would be directed into SpiceJet, the market is happy that Maran is selling out to Ajay Singh, the original promoter of SpiceJet, relinquishing management control and ownership.
