Tata Chemicals, which had closed yesterday at Rs.427.35, hit a new 52-week high today at Rs.464.75 and currently trades over 6.5% higher at Rs.456 levels.

The stock has been moving up for the past two days, ever since Tata Sons, the promoter company of Tata Chemcials bought 1.8 million shares or 0.71% more stake in the company.

This purchase was done yesterday, at a price of Rs.420.92/share on the NSE, via bulk deal.

Tata Sons currently holds 29.39% stake and post this, it has gone up to 30.10%.
