Tata Communications
Tata Communications posted a miserable set of numbers for Q4FY17 with a consolidated net loss at Rs.261 crore though it has come down from loss of Rs.1413 crore posted in Q3. But the disturbing aspect is that its loss from continuing operations is at Rs.982 crore while it had managed a turnaround in Q3 with a profit of Rs.1.30 crore. The company also had to contend with an exceptional loss at Rs.1063 crore.
The topline too did not do too well with a 1.5% (QoQ) drop at Rs.4294 crore. EBITDA was down 12% at Rs.502 crore while the margins slipped from 13.1% to 11.7%.
The company ended FY17 with a net loss at Rs.761 crore, down by a whopping 432% and revenues fell 3% to Rs.17,619 crore.
Little wonder then that the stock is the top loser on the bourses currently, down over 10% at Rs.634 while its intra day low stands at Rs.626. Its 52-week high and low is at Rs.784 and Rs.417.60 respectively.
