Triveni Glass at 5% UC

Triveni Glass, which had closed yesterday at Rs.21.55, opened itself today at its 5% UC of the day at Rs.22.60, where it now remains frozen. Its 52-week high is at Rs.30.90.

Not yet officially announced by the company to the stock exchanges, the stock hit the roof on news reports that it is planning to invest Rs.1000 crore in Andhra Pradesh to set up a 840-tnne solar glass making unit.

This news was reported by the Press Trust of India, which said that the company’s MD, Varun Gupta met Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy yesterday and deliberated on investments in the southern state, ahead of the Global Investors' Summit to be held in Visakhapatnam on March 3 and 4.

The Chief Minister has promised full cooperation to Triveni Glass.
