Vidhi Specialty up over 2.5%
Vidhi Specialty Food is a leading manufacturer of synthetic and natural food grade colours and the stock is showing some bright green colour today morning. The stock, which had closed yesterday at Rs.336.85, opened today at Rs.339.05 and went on to hit an intraday high at Rs.346, rising over 2.5%.
The market has reacted positively to the news that it has set up a 2 MW solar power plant at Rambhapur, Maharashtra, which will support the company's green energy requirements for its manufacturing unit, helping it reduce carbon emissions.
The total cost of the project (including land) is Rs.9 crore and was funded entirely via internal accruals.
100% of electricity generated through above solar power plant shall be utilised for captive use, which will help save significant costs.
