V-Mart Retail at all-time high

V-Mart Retail hit a new all-time high today at Rs.1059.10, showing a spectacular jump from yesterday’s close of Rs.960.65. It has since then come off the high but remains 4.5% up at Rs.1005 levels.

The company posted a very good  YoY performance for Q4Fy17 though sequentially there was a decline. Its net profit for the quarter rose by a jaw dropping 940% (YoY) to Rs.5 crore though sequentially, it was down 82%. Same trend seen in total income too – YoY it was up 41% rise and 23% decline on QoQ at Rs.253 crore.

The company operates as a hypermarket format retail chain based in New Delhi. It is a multi-brand family retail store offering apparels, general merchandise and kirana.

All retail stocks are buzzing loud and clear today morning and overall mood on the street for this sector is currently very bullish.
